World Junior Gold Medallist (2021) African Championships Gold Medallist (2022) Boland Polevault Academy and coach JP van As received me with wide open arms, making me feel at home right from the start. It has truly opened up avenues in my life, which I never thought existed. The coaches dedicate their time for the love of the sport, bringing out the very best in each athlete and ultimately developing world class competitors. Boland Academy offers so many opportunities to achieve new heights, on and off the field. One of these opportunities for me was the World Junior Championships in Kenya in 2021, where I won the gold medal. What an honour it was to represent my country. I have grown so much in the past year with the Stellenbosch crowd and believe I will keep on clearing new heights with the help of God and with a focussed approach. Thank you for believing in me and making me part of your family!

World Junior Bronze Medallist (2021) All American First Team (2022) The Boland Pole Vault Academy has a very special place in my heart. When I was 13 years old, I started polevaulting. I was accepted with open arms by the entire polevault family. Louis Nienaber, my coach, helped to build my skill from the foundation. Through this solid foundation I began to jump very high and started to compete in many competitions and every year I competed in bigger and more important competitions. Eventually I qualified for the South African team that went to the African Championships in Ivory Coast, where I won the Gold Medal. In my final year of high school, I was privileged to receive a scholarship in the USA through the sport, to study Civil Engineering and continue my polevaulting career. In 2021, I was selected to represent the South African Team at the World Junior Championships in Nairobi, Kenya and I won the bronze medal. I could not have achieved any of these milestones without the support of the Boland Athletics Polevault Academy.

South African Team Member African Championships Bronze Medallist (2022) Walking past the Boland Polevault Academy that sunny afternoon in 2016, I would never have dreamed how being part of the academy would transform my life! It has taught me so much, more than just polevault techniques. It taught me patience, perseverance and that hard work pays off. I will forever be grateful to my coach, Louis Nienaber, for all the hard work, effort and time he invested in me and for always believing in me. Through the Academy, I was given the opportunity to compete nationally and internationally. This ultimately led to a scholarship in the USA, where I am currently studying and continuing my polevaulting career.
